  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  2. Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart pitcher and cover with vodka. Let steep at room temperature for 4 days.
  3. Create sugar syrup by dissolving water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, then let cool.
  4. Combine the cooled syrup with the vodka mixture and let sit overnight.
  5. Strain out the lemon peels and bottle the limoncello. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
