Scale
  • 1 cup instant oats
  • ¾ cup whole wheat flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 6 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F and coat an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together instant oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter or coconut oil, egg white, and vanilla extract. Stir in maple syrup and almond milk until well blended.
