Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 11 slices Colby Jack cheese (or American)
  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 24 dill pickles
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons pickle juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to broil.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place them cut side up on a lined baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and broil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Lower the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then press into a casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Sauté diced onions in a skillet over low heat with butter until browned.
  5. Assemble the sliders by layering pickles on the bottom buns, followed by beef, cheese, and sautéed onions. Top with the other half of the rolls.
  6. Brush tops with remaining butter, add sesame seeds if desired, and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes until cheese melts.
