  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 head broccoli, chopped into florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken thinly and marinate with Shaoxing wine, salt, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing oyster sauce, additional Shaoxing wine, dark soy sauce, chicken stock, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Steam chopped broccoli in boiling water for about 40 seconds until tender; set aside.
  4. In a nonstick skillet, heat peanut oil and cook the marinated chicken until browned on both sides.
  5. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet; stir briefly to release their fragrance.
  6. Combine steamed broccoli with the chicken and pour in the prepared sauce; cook until thickened.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
