  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 16 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups purple cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ancho chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (for crema)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin (for crema)
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for crema)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice (for crema)
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar (for crema)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for crema)
  • salt to taste (for crema)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cabbages with lime juice, cilantro, honey, salt, and pepper to prepare the slaw. Set aside.
  2. Blend avocados, garlic, cilantro, cumin, red pepper flakes, lime juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and salt in a food processor to make the avocado crema.
  3. Season shrimp with spices and sear in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  4. Heat tortillas in another skillet until warm and pliable.
  5. Assemble tacos by spreading avocado crema on each tortilla followed by slaw and shrimp.
