Description

Baked Feta and Figs is a delicious, one-pan appetizer that beautifully marries the creamy richness of feta cheese with the natural sweetness of figs and grapes. Perfect for winter gatherings or cozy nights in, this dish is as visually stunning as it is flavorful. The sweet figs and juicy grapes are roasted to perfection alongside a block of Greek feta, creating a warm and inviting experience for your guests. Serve it fresh from the oven with toasted baguette slices, or incorporate it into a cheese board for an elegant touch. This recipe is not only easy to prepare but also versatile enough to suit any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 figs, halved (best if mission figs)
  • 10 oz seedless grapes
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 ½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 block Greek feta in brine
  • ½ to 1 tsp Aleppo pepper
  • Fresh thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. On a large baking sheet, combine figs and grapes with balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and half the honey. Bake for 8 minutes.
  3. Add the block of feta to the center of the sheet and drizzle with remaining olive oil and honey; sprinkle Aleppo pepper on top. Add thyme around the feta.
  4. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until grapes burst and figs soften.
  5. Switch your oven to broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until feta is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices.
